Dr. Yuan Chen began his medical career as a thoracic surgeon after graduating from Tianjin Medical University in China. He completed an anesthesia residency and pain management fellowship from Northwestern University in 2003, before becoming board-certified as an interventional pain management specialist, serving patients throughout the greater Chicago region.
Dr. Chen's practice is unique in its diversification. With a focus on clinical care, it is a center of excellence for diagnosing and treating various conditions. His scope of practice ranges from interventional regenerative medicine and minimally invasive procedures to surgical implantation of neural augmentation and neuraxial medication delivery systems. Most procedures are performed under fluoroscopic or ultrasound guidance.
Dr. Chen has dedicated his entire career to managing chronic pain and degenerative conditions with state-of-the-art interventional and regenerative techniques. He strives to remain at the forefront of treating patients with pain by using the most current and efficacious treatment techniques available.
